University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg
The University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg, regularly on the first places of nationwide rankings, is one of the most research-active universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. As an institution devoted to applied sciences, AUAS is pushing theory to application and (industrial) relevance. So close cooperations exist not only with renowned research labs like the Fraunhofer ISC, the Fraunhofer ITWM and the KIT in Karlsruhe, but also with large companies like BMW, Reis Robotics and DaimlerChrysler.
In the research project at hand, AUAS is represented by the research group of Prof. Hans-Georg Stark, who holds a chair in technomathematics and computer science. The group has considerable expertise in the field of theoretical foundations of uncertainty principles, signal and image processing as well as pattern recognition. The general role of AUAS is in the Construction of Minimizers. Further workpackages cover Localization Measures as well as the GPU Implementation for an efficient transformation of the MALDI data.
