Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ⁄ Université de Provence (CNRS-UP)
The team at CNRS-UP is the Signal and Image Processing group of the Laboratoire d'Analyse, Topologie et Probabilités (LATP). LATP is a joint institute of the french Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and Centrale Marseille. The former University of Provence (UP) has merged with the two others Marseilles Universities to form AMU in January 2012.
The Signal and Image Processing group, headed by Prof. Bruno Torrésani, focuses on mathematical aspects of signal and image processing, with particular expertise on harmonic analysis, group theoretical methods, numerical algorithms and probability / statistics. At the application level, it has developed several collaborations in various domains, such as audio signal modeling (with academic as well as industrial collaborations), natural image processing, neurophysiological signal analysis and bioinformatics/genomics.
The Signal and Image Processing group is in charge of the Localization Measures.
